Jesse asks friend Dave Reaboi, writer of the Substack "Late Republic Nonsense", what Nancy Pelosi trip to Taiwan actually means. Reaboi quells the nation's anxieties by saying this trip is likely no more than political theatre; the US intentionally poking China's side with a stick. While Reaboi worries these political gestures make us lose sight of our strategic mission against China, he doesn't expect to see any an aggressive offensive of Taiwan that we're all expecting.
