DATA RUN REVIEW - Istanbul, Turkey - August 3, 2022

It's a good thing I asked the owner about that code, because I ain't finding it online.

Apparently, these codes are referred to as UAAD codes (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data codes), and every phone service provider has a bunch of them.

You can use them to look up your balance, check your subscription info, activate and deactivate services... A whole bunch of stuff.

Why this episode?

I can't recall if it was a joke or just a general sentiment I stumbled across, but apparently, the Cuban attribute of respecting elders seems to strike other latin groups as absurd or humorous.

Maybe it's just respecting FEMALE elders that strikes them as amusing. - If I recall correctly, I believe they DID specify "Abuelita".

So...if displaying respect for your own society is a particularly Cuban attribute...
