US-China Trade Deal Looks Like a Dud

Phase 1 of the much anticipated US-China trade deal doesn't look to impressive based on what we know so far. Trump and the Chinese have agreed that China will be purchasing more agricultural products (which China desperately needs) from the US in exchange for a slight reduction in tariffs on Chinese goods. It does not appear however that China will be purchasing as much from the US under this phase 1 deal as they had prior to the start of the trade war.
