Prayer of Repentance From The Steps of The Lincoln Memorial

Ubawo Yah,

I come before you as the priest of my bloodline under your son Yissa’Yah Kongo. Over 400 years ago, because of our wickedness and disobedience, we were sentenced to slavery. It was during this time, our ancestors were trained to call upon the gods of this land for our freedom. In 1862, our ancestors here in Washington D.C. believed that the goddess Columbia granted us freedom with the District of Columbia Emancipation Act. We also believed in 1863 that this goddess also granted us freedom via the Emancipation Proclamation. Beginning in the early 1900’s, we moved further away from you by making oaths and pledges to Greek and Egyptian gods by creating our own fraternities, sororities, and masonic orders.  By placing our trust in these orders, we were once again led to this spot on August 28, 1963 to plead to the goddess Columbia once again. This time, pleading to be treated as equals with our captors. The results of these actions have continued to keep us in bondage.
Today, we acknowledge our rebellion against you, your, laws, statues, and commandments. 
Before you and all of hosts of heaven, we formally reject and cancel all pacts and covenants made with the goddess Columbia. We reject the gods and goddess of Prince Hall Freemasonry, Improved Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the World, Sigma Pi Phi, Alpha Phi Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Phi Beta Sigma, Wine Psi Phi, New Gamma Alpha, Iota Phi Theta, Malik Sigma Psi, Phi Delta Psi, Megist’e Aret’e, Phi Rho Eta, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Zeta Phi Beta, Sigma Gamma Rho, Iota Phi Lambda, Eta Phi Beta, Tau Gamma Delta, Gamma Phi Delta, Zeta Delta Phi, Kappa Theta Epsilon, Omega Epsilon Rho Service Sorority, The entire National Pan-Hellenic Council, The Boule, and all other hidden councils, groups, organizations where we, our parents, our relatives, and ancestors have taken oaths of allegiance. 
As true Israel, we call upon you Yahabe, the Elimo above ALL Elimo to be our one true El and King. And we ask that for your name sake, that you would break every curse off of your people. Make us once again, the nation you have called us to be....a HOLY nation.
