Webinar | Unrestricted Warfare: The CCP is Inside our (Electrical) Wire

With the Biden administration’s self-inflicted energy crisis, increasing demand for electricity for vehicles and cooling, and weather-induced shortfalls in hydropower- and wind-sourced power generation, the serious vulnerabilities of our electric grid are finally getting increased scrutiny. That includes the inadvisability of expanding our reliance on renewables that depend critically upon Communist China for everything from rare earth minerals to wind turbines to solar panels.

Still largely unremarked, however, is the presence in our bulk power distribution system, popularly known as “the grid,” of some 300 large transformers manufactured in China. One of them has been examined and reportedly found to have built-in means by which the Chinese Communist Party could remotely disable or even destroy what was meant to be a critical element of America’s electrification system. It must be assumed that the same features exist in some, if not all, of the others.

The next webinar in the Committee on the Present Danger: China’s series on the CCP’s “Unrestricted Warfare” against America will address these and other threats China poses to our most critical of critical infrastructures – the electric grid – including electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attacks.
