In the video I said Challen’s first appeal, which was purely against sentence, failed. Her tariff was actually reduced from 22 years to 18 years. If you want to call that success, feel free. The important thing is that she is retried and convicted again. The so-called fresh evidence about her husband’s alleged coercive behaviour would not normally be allowed under “Criminal Appeal Act” rules, nor should it be allowed here.
