Rings of Power is a PARODY of Lord of the Rings

Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has released new footage of the cast after San Diego Comic-Con International. Showrunners JD Payne and Patrick Mckay have said LOTR: Rings of Power is definitely Tolkien and only from his work, but do the cast agree? After Stephen Colbert's panel at San Diego Comic-con several cast members underwent interviews that seem to suggest they are more important than J R.R. Tolkiens own thought's about Lord of the Rings.
