What Does God Require? * Micah 6:8 * Today's Verses

In the first two verses of this passage titled "What God Requires of Man," the question is what sacrifices should be brought to the Lord. This question's context reflects the reality that people had been hypocritically offering the required sacrifices without a true heart. The answer is that God has more interest in the people than their sacrifices. The character and behavior of His people matter more to Him than the rituals and legalistic behaviors. A person who keeps a humble relationship with Him and acts justly and faithfully, and loves Him and others will find more favor with Him than a person following rules for the wrong reasons.
