F2F Radio: Napoleon & Trump in Their times.

If we do not learn from the past, we are doomed to repeat it. However, not without juxtaposes and reversals in the parts and players

I am listening to (for the 2nd time around) Andrew Roberts' "Napoleon: A Life' narrated by John Lee. It is a good history book in that it is seeking reality rather than grinding an ax, comparing Napoleon's writings with contemporary and later reports. All weeding things out with a contradictory comb with facts and figures. I will Check out other bios he has done

Many things struck me about the French Revolution, its players, and our current state of affairs. I noticed many things about Napoleon and Trump, for example. The Jacobins and our Far-Left Democrats. But a striking difference was the reversal and inversions of the leading players. I will loosely talk about some of these today, ironically, on our Independence Day holiday.
