When Days of Wonder originally released a map of Germany for the Ticket to Ride series of games, they partnered with German model train company Märklin. The art style was very different from the base Ticket to Ride and Europe versions. They also used a slightly complicated passenger mechanic that honestly, I did not enjoy.
