How God Became King: Romans 9:1-5

Among the major themes contained in the four gospels is how they tell the story of Jesus as the story of Israel, and of Israel’s God, reaching their proper climax, so as thereby to tell the story of how Israel’s God becomes king of the whole world. Paul is bringing together this theme from the four gospels to explain this very point in the theological climax of his letter to Rome. The theological climax of Romans is about how God becomes King of the whole world!
