Zecharia Sitchin and the Translation of Sumerian Clay Tablets

Was Zecharia Sitchin correct? Is the planet of Nibiru in an elongated, 3,600-year-long elliptical orbit around the sun?

Sitchin claimed that information about Nibiru comes from the Sumerians' tablets and other artifacts left behind, suggesting that people from Nibiru came to Earth and discovered the gold they needed to help repair their atmosphere and they began mining it. Much of the knowledge of these ancient people have come true: Including the color and size of Neptune and Uranus, and the existence of the outer planets, long before our telescopes could find them.
