There are people who will focus in on the negatives with how Trey Lance practiced this weekend. Pick six on Saturday to Jimmie Ward, bad pick to Fred Warner on Sunday. Bad decisions, they can cost you games and turn the score. What’s also important? How a QB responds to those bad moments, especially late in games, when it matters, when you need a big play or a long scoring drive. Lance did that. Led an 8-play, 65-yard TD drive in 1:15 that finished with a 15-yard scoring toss to Ray-Ray McCloud at the final gun, a couple plays to Kittle along the way and the connection with Brandon Aiyuk continues to be special throughout camp.
