US Troops to "Defend" Syrian Oil

The US is currently withdrawing its troops from Kurdish controlled areas as the Turks attempt to move in and take over. Not all of these troops will be leaving Syria entirely however, as it is becoming increasingly clear that the US will keep troops in Syria in an attempt to maintain control over the oil fields in the east of the country.
