💜WHAT HAPPEN TO US WHEN WE DIE?💜

👉1) The DEAD know NOTHING for their MEMORY are FORGOTTEN.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 [NASB]
5For the LIVING know that THEY will DIE; but the DEAD DO NOT know ANYTHING, nor do THEY have a REWARD any longer, for THEIR MEMORY is FORGOTTEN.

👉2) The DEAD, they are just ASLEEP.

John 11:11 [NASB]
11This HE (JESUS CHRIST) said, and after that HE said to them,

“OUR FRIEND LAZARUS HAS FALLEN ASLEEP;
BUT I GO, SO THAT I MAY AWAKEN HIM OUT
OF SLEEP.”

👉3) There are TWO RESURRECTIONS –

🌴1-THOSE who LIVED their LIVES BELIEVING in JESUS CHRIST as our LORD, GOD, and SAVIOR will NOT be JUDGE,

John 5:28-29 [NLT]
28DON’T BE SO SURPRISED! INDEED, THE TIME IS
COMING WHEN ALL THE DEAD IN THEIR GRAVES
WILL HEAR THE VOICE OF GOD’S SON, 29AND
THEY WILL RISE AGAIN. THOSE WHO HAVE DONE
GOOD WILL RISE TO EXPERIENCE ETERNAL LIFE,
AND THOSE WHO HAVE CONTINUED IN EVIL WILL RISE TO EXPERIENCE JUDGEMENT.

Revelation 20:4-6 [NLT]
4Then I saw thrones, and the people sitting on them had been given the authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony about JESUS and for PROCLAIMING the WORD of GOD. They had NOT WORSHIPED the BEAST or his STATUE, nor ACCEPTED his MARK on their FOREHEADS or their HANDS. They ALL came to LIFE AGAIN, and they REIGNED with CHRIST for a THOUSAND YEARS.

5This is the FIRST RESURRECTION. (The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years had ended.)

6BLESSED and HOLY are THOSE who SHARE in the FIRST RESURRECTION. For them the SECOND DEATH holds NO POWER, but they will be PRIESTS of GOD and of CHRIST and will REIGN with HIM a thousand years.

🌴2- but THOSE who COMMITTED the EVIL DEEDS will FACE JUDGMENT.

29AND THEY WILL RISE AGAIN. THOSE WHO HAVE DONE GOOD WILL RISE TO EXPERIENCE ETERNAL LIFE, AND THOSE WHO HAVE CONTINUED IN EVIL WILL RISE TO EXPERIENCE JUDGEMENT.

👉4) Our BODIES when RESURRECTED will be SPIRITUAL BODIES, that is, when we LIVE our LIVES in OBEDIENCE to JESUS CHRIST.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44 [NLT]
42It is the same way with the RESURRECTION of the DEAD. Our EARTHLY BODIES are PLANTED in the GROUND when we DIE, but they will be RAISED to LIVE FOREVER.

43Our BODIES are BURIED in BROKENNESS, but they will be RAISED in GLORY. They are BURIED in WEAKNESS, but they will be RAISED in STRENGTH.

44They are BURIED as NATURAL HUMAN BODIES, but they will be RAISED as SPIRITUAL BODIES. For just as there are NATURAL BODIES, there are also SPIRITUAL BODIES.

👉5) When the DEAD rise, they will be like ANGELS in HEAVEN.

Matthew 22:29-30 [NLT]
29JESUS replied,

“YOUR MISTAKE IS THAT YOU DON’T KNOW THE SCRIPTURES, AND YOU DON’T KNOW THE POWER OF GOD.

30FOR WHEN THE DEAD RISE, THEY WILL NEITHER MARRY NOR BE GIVEN IN MARRIAGE. IN THIS RESPECT THEY WILL BE LIKE THE ANGELS IN HEAVEN.

👉6) In the FINAL JUDGMENT, ANYONE who’s NAME will not be found RECORDED in the BOOK of LIFE will be THROWN in the LAKE of FIRE.

Revelation 20:15 [NLT]
15And ANYONE who’s NAME was not found RECORDED in the BOOK of LIFE was THROWN into the LAKE of FIRE.
