A Further Investigation into the Syriac and Christian Substrata of the Qur'an | Surah 52, 53 and 97

The first half is a comparative and speculative examination of surah 53 vs Matthew 2 & 14, using the Syriac version. We discover that Surah 52's title Al-Tur is a borrowing from a Syriac word found in the Peshita. In the second half, I look at Christoph Luxenburg's examination of Surah 97 and its connection with Matthew 2 and Luke 2, as well as a Syriac liturgical practice of vigils on Christmas Eve.
