Live News: Bill to give Afghans path to citizenship introduced in US Congress #shorts #news

Bipartisan legislation has been introduced in both houses of US Congress which aims to pave the path for Afghan evacuees in the US to gain American citizenship. As many as 76,000 Afghans evacuated in last year's operation entered the US on humanitarian parole. The bill also aims to extend Special Immigration Visas (SIV) to women who served in counterterrorism teams.
