The Banning No. 4 Mine, located near West Newton, PA was constructed around 1960-1961 and was operational as of February 15, 1961.
The mine processed coal underground.
The site consisted of 239.5 acres of property above ground
The mine closed in 1982 and was abandoned by 1984.
