Top progressive Dem says 'Trump should be in jail' after FBI raid

Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) praised the FBI for raiding former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort Monday.

The leader of the Congressional Progressive Caucus expressed her pleasure at the news of the raid in a tweet as allies of Trump expressed their disapproval.

Jayapal said, "Donald Trump should be in jail. I’m glad to see the FBI taking steps towards accountability,"
Jayapal has blamed Trump's rhetoric for increased political violence, including an incident in which a man with a gun was arrested outside her home in Seattle last month.
