Today we talk about walking as a form or exercise and why despite criticism by some it is the most natural, universal and best exercise for the most people.

~ Weight as of this morning 1st of October – 219.6
~ Total body weight and percentage since Aug 12 (50 days) 27.4 pounds – 11.09% of starting weight
~ By plan - Original target for 220 was Oct. 28th, 28 days ahead of plan. Time to adjust the plan!
My 10 Reasons Walking is Beneficial
1. You can easily walk 3 miles in one hour, which will burn 300 calories for a 180 pound man or about 200 for a 120 lb woman.
2. Walking after eating lowers blood sugar.
3. Show to boost immune function.
4. Increases energy levels.
5. Enhances mood, by processing issues, being meditative, learning something or experiencing beauty.
6. The human body was made for walking, we evolved as walkers, it is the most natural exercise for the human body.
7. It is the exercise anyone can do, any time of the year, regardless of weather or budget.
8. Reduces cravings for “sweet foods” and can reduce appetite.
9. Creates the basis or a routine and becomes habitual.
10. As a light load bearing exercise it helps prevent osteoporosis along with joint pain, etc.
11. Leads to better sleep patterns.
12. It absolutely can be strenuous based on terrain, speed or load bearing. All are very easy to phase in over time.
