Identifying class of compounds is an important skill you need to do well in any nursing school prep chemistry course. Being able to identify classes of compounds will make the rest of the organic chemistry section in your course easier and more enjoyable. Ketone, aldyhyde, carboxylic acids, esters, ethers and more are important classes of compounds. Carbonyls and hydroxyls are everywhere and you must get to know them!
