Sunday Longplay - Super Mario Kart (SNES, Switch Online) - 150cc GP

This week on Sunday Longplay, we're visiting the recently-added Super Nintendo games on the Nintendo Switch Online service. One of these games is one I've wanted to revisit on my channel for a long time. Welcome to Super Mario Kart!

This game was the origin of the widely-popular Mario Kart series, and honestly I feel this is still the hardest one today. It's another one of those cases where it's easy to learn but hard to master. It's a simple concept with Mario characters driving go-karts around a series of tracks for trophies, using Mario-themed weapons to get ahead, but mastering it is a different beast.

I actually used to be a semi-competitive player in this game as well as Mario Kart Super Circuit on the GBA, but I haven't played either game in over a decade, and my rust definitely shows. Maybe I might get back into it once I clean the rust off, but no guarantees.
