MAN SAVES CHILD'S LIFE FROM ONCOMING TRAIN IN HEART-STOPPING VIDEO

In the video, the boy can be seen losing his balance while walking across the platform at Vangani Railway Station in Mumbai, India, on Saturday (17 April).

After stumbling, he falls onto the tracks below, unable to get back up as a fast-moving train approaches in the distance.

Luckily, a quick-thinking railway pointsman called Mayur Shelkhe suddenly comes running down the track from the other end of the station.

As the heart-stopping footage unfolds, the train can be seen getting closer and closer, with the boy still stranded on the line.

But in the end, Mr Shelkhe is able to get to the boy, picking him up and lifting him back onto the platform in the nick of time.

Mr Shelkhe then manages to get himself back onto the platform and out of harm's way.
