Two Extraordinary Books that Defy the CCP’s Censors

On July 20, 1999, then head of the Chinese Communist Party Jiang Zemin launched a brutal nation-wide persecution using the CCP apparatuses against one hundred million Falun Gong practitioners.
Over the course of 20 years, Falun Gong practitioners have peacefully and rationally opposed the persecution and clarified the truth with compassion and forbearance, staying steadfast and resolute to this day.

Today, Falun Gong is practiced in more than 100 countries and regions. Falun Gong and its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi, have received over 3,000 awards and commendations from governments and organizations worldwide. Over these 20 years, two extraordinary books have been widely circulated among-st people in China and other countries across the world.

The first book is “Zhuan Falun,” the main text used by Falun Gong practitioners in their cultivation practice. This book has helped more than a hundred million practitioners worldwide improve their physical and mental health and elevate their character.

The other book, “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party,” gave rise to the “quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations” movement. It is said that all top CCP officials in Zhongnanhai
have read these two books, but for the remaining folks in China, they are taboo. These two books have been translated into many languages and are circulated widely in countries worldwide.

“Zhuan Falun” is the main text of Falun Gong. The book was authored by the founder of the practice, Mr. Li Hongzhi. Since the original Chinese version was first published on January 4, 1995,
over the course of 20 years, it has been translated into over 40 languages. The instructional video and texts for learning the practice are free to view and download on Falun Gong’s official website:

Falun Dafa is a cultivation practice based upon the principles of the universe’s evolution and guided by the highest characteristic of the universe—“Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”
Through the practice, practitioners experience remarkable changes to their health and are able to rapidly elevate their character.
Through word of mouth, Falun Gong practitioners grew rapidly in number. Before the CCP launched the persecution on July 1999,
up to one hundred million people in China were practicing Falun Gong. Each practitioner then had a copy of “Zhuan Falun.”
It is said that before the persecution, top CCP officials, especially those in the standing committee, had all read “Zhuan Falun.” In almost all CCP affiliated ministries and commissions, there were officials practicing Falun Gong.

“Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” was first published on the website of the Epoch Times, an overseas media outlet, in 2004, five years after the persecution started.The book detailed the crimes and atrocities committed by the CCP to China and the Chinese people from its inception to after it seized power in China.
The book investigated the topic from historical, cultural, and moral perspectives. In April 2012, during a state visit by then Premier Wen Jiabao to Poland, while two officials from his entourage were visiting Warsaw Old Town, a Falun Gong practitioner on the roadside gave them fliers about how the practice has spread worldwide. They gladly accepted the fliers and told the practitioner:
“We all have ‘Nine Commentaries,’ you don’t need to give us. Give them to other Chinese people who haven’t read it.”
“Nine Commentaries” is the first to strip off the CCP’s deceitful mask and reveal the root cause behind the suffering of the Chinese people, and point the way to the renaissance of the Chinese nation.
It has received positive reviews all around while the state-controlled media in China are silent.
Since the book was published, more and more Chinese people began quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations, This has become what’s known as the “Tuidang” (quitting the party) movement. As of today, more than 330 million Chinese people have quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations.
