Withdraw of Consent School Letter and Tips

Learn what is recommended to avoid through the schools and how to protect your children.
Below is the letter for you to copy, paste and edit as needed for your child.

I do not consent, and further withdraw any past consent for my child’s use of a Google Chromebook or any other Google Services, citing privacy concerns I have under COPPA, FERPA, and other applicable PII laws.
I do not consent or give permission to the school district:
- to give my child any surveys, unless I have reviewed and approved them first, which is within my rights under PPRA.
- to provide any medical interventions to my child while at school. In case of emergency, you have my contact information and others listed as emergency contacts.
- for my child to participate in Portrait of a Graduate.
- for my child to participate in any sex ed curriculum or instruction.
- for my child to participate in any SEL, DEIB, or CRT based curriculum or instruction.
- to collect any of my child’s biometric information.
- to collect PII or assessment data on my child for use on dashboards, running analytics, or making decisions.
If the school district fails to honor my non-consent requests as listed above, the school district will be in violation of Section 1983 of Title 42 of the United States Code.
