GIGANTE DA BOLA! SPALDING

Fundada em 3 de fevereiro de 1876, por Albert Goodwill Spalding, que também era jogador profissional de beisebol do Chicago White Stockings (hoje Chicago Cubs).

Em parceria com o irmão, fundou a SPALDING & BROS. E, durante cem anos, manteve contrato com a National League, fornecendo bolas.

- 1887 fabricou a primeira bola de futebol americano do mundo;
- 1888, se tornou a primeira empresa a produzir bolas de golfe nos Estados Unidos;
- 1894 fabricou a primeira bola oficial para a prática do basquete;
- 1895 lançou a primeira bola americana de vôlei;
- 1962 começou a produzir bolas de handball;

Desde 1983 é a bola oficial da NBA e o basquete é o esporte que mais rende dinheiro para empresa.

SPALDING - THE GIANT

Founded February 3, 1876, by Albert Goodwill Spalding, who was also a professional baseball player for the Chicago White Stockings (today Chicago Cubs).

In partnership with his brother, he founded SPALDING & BROS. And for a hundred years, he kept a contract with the National League, supplying balls.

- 1887 made the first football in the world;
- 1888, became the first company to produce golf balls in the United States;
- 1894 manufactured the first official ball for basketball practice;
- 1895 launched the first American volleyball ball;
- 1962 started producing handball balls;

Since 1983 it has been the official NBA ball and basketball is the sport that earns the most money for the company.
