In Part 34 of my Sonic Origins Let's Play, Sonic and Tails arrive at Hidden Palace Zone and confront Knuckles and as they were fighting him, Robotnik betrays Knuckles, electrocutes him, and steals the Master Emerald, fully restoring the Death Egg! Realizing his mistake, Knuckles teams up with Sonic and Tails and guides them to the Sky Sanctuary Zone to catch up with the Death Egg. Soon Sonic and Tails meet a new metallic menace!
