Lafayette Pool: Texas Tanker

In the brutal fighting during the summer of 1944 the US Third Armored Division often led the way, earning the nickname “the spearhead division.” And through much of the fighting, staff sergeant Lafayette Pool and the crew of the M4 medium tank “In the mood” were at the tip of that spear.
