Swimming in Freezing Cold Mountain Glacier Water

Up in the mountains above Gilmore Idaho, Elizabeth and friends are swimming in a freezing cold mountain glacier lake. Meadow Lake is the name and freeze swimming is the game. They were a brave bunch to jump in the water so cold. The temperature was estimated at 52 degrees Fahrenheit (11 degrees celcius). Would you swim underwater in such cold conditions?
