Putin's Party Loses Some Seats in Local Election

In the wake of recent protests over ballot access, Putin's party, United Russia, has lost one third of its seats in the local Moscow assembly. The party did however retain a majority in the assembly, so this "loss" can hardly be considered a setback. United Russia will likely remain solidly in control of the Russian government at all levels for the foreseeable future.
