Rehanging A Monarch Butterfly Chrysalis

This morning was a little hectic. I woke up to finding a very new, very wet monarch butterfly 🦋 chrysalis that had fallen while trying to finish. If you were to ask the "experts" they'd tell you to leave them alone until they dry. I have followed that advice but not after today. The reason being is because it never turned out well. The reason this one fell is caused by not creating a strong enough button. The button is made of silk that the monarch caterpillar makes so that when the time is right they will j-hang for several hours and then create the chrysalis. I was still not fully awake when this happened but a bit of panic shot me right up! If this chrysalis was not almost completely formed I may not have been able to do this. But from this experience I feel that buy gently holding it by the black stem we can save the ones that fall. This video was taken several hours ago and the chrysalis is doing great! I named her Lucky.
