Can you get HIGH from second hand CANNABIS smoke?

Ever been to a party where the room has been full of smoke with a particularly distinctive smell?

We’re not suggesting you might have joined in, but did you wonder if the amount of cannabis smoke in the room might still get you high?

Perhaps ‘high’ is pushing it, but the truth is, yes, you can be affected by second-hand cannabis smoke.

How do we know?

Because those boffins have been carrying out some more research.
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, people who spent three hours in a well ventilated room absorbed enough cannabis for traces to be found in urine samples, but not enough to fail a drug test.

Another group which spent an hour in a poorly ventilated room, and which was exposed to smoke from cannabis with a high 11.3% THC level, subsequently failed their drug test.

In addition, the second group also showed impairment on tested motor task performance.

So, in answer to the question, yes, you can get a high from second-hand cannabis smoke.
