Hong Kong Government Withdraws Extradition Bill

Carrie Lam, leader of the Hong Kong S.A.R. government, has just announced the complete withdrawal of the extradition bill which sparked this recent protest movement. This is obviously a major concession to the protesters, one which Lam likely hopes will satiate their desires. I however think this will only inflame the protesters more, as Carrie Lam has now proved the protests are making an impact on government policy. The protesters now are likely to press for the other 4 of their stated demands.
