Jones Gap State Park Summer 2022

In the same way that I try to make a trip to Grandfather Mountain every year, I try to do the same thing with Jones Gap. The truth is I’m not a fan of Summer backpacking. Brutal heat, swarms of bugs, and rampant poison ivy… need I go on? BUT ever year around July or August, when I start to miss the trail, I make a trip out to Jones Gap and it holds me over until Fall. I hope you enjoy this video from our short but sweet overnight adventure.
