World of Warcraft Classic Huge Success Shows You Can Go Home Again

Activision/Blizzard launched World of Warcraft Classic on August 26, 2019. The game recreates the game as it existed before the first expansion, The Burning Crusade. The launch was a victim of its own success as so many players poured onto the Classic servers that queue times in excess of 10+ hours were not unheard of in the first couple days. How gamers yearning for a nostalgic return to the venerable MMO's roots resulted in a massive cultural event and revival for WoW.
