Hiking Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument

This video was made before the COVID 19 virus forced us all into isolation:

We took a hike on The Ajo Trail in Organ Pipe Cactus NM to see what the Sonoran Desert had to offer. LOTS of different types of cactus and other very prickly but beautiful, plants, shrubs and trees. We stayed at the National Monument campground in our cargo trailer camper and found it to be very nice with a separate area for those with generators. This is off the beaten path but makes for an interesting destination. This place is the only location in the U.S. where the Organ Pipe cactus grows in the wild naturally.

In 1540, Coronado came through on his expedition to explore and went all the way into what is now Kansas.
