Judges 2:10-21 cautions that while one generation can be blessed; the next generation must not provoke the LORD to anger. Joshua 24:15-16 requires each generation to stand up and commit to serve the LORD. Otherwise, the LORD can withhold his blessing.

This applies to our generation as well, as Pastor Mike points out. Leaders from Benjamin Franklin to Ronald Reagan have warned that America's liberty can be lost unless next generations hold true to its founding principles.

Fortunately, God will forgive if we repent:

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will
heal their land." - 2 Chronicles 7:14
