Athos (2016) Documentary

A filmmaker gains rare access to the monastery in Mount Athos, offering an intimate glimpse into the monks' daily lives in this documentary.

I am by no means telling anyone to go live in a monastery ! Or follow a particular set of rules. Just showing you the beauty of the peoples that do choose that path. My awakening didn't come from being in a church or monastery, neither does alot of today's peoples, this is but a PATH, a path that rarely gets used anymore.

The paths? the fakir, those of the body, the monk, those of the heart and the yogi, those of the mind. or choose the forth way, called the middle way. I started the path as a yogi, but changed and ended on the middle way.

One thing that stood out to me was the room full of skulls, further research led me to find alot of chapel/churches/monasteries have skulls/bones within the walls, columns or underground. I found a photo of Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, Rome, which shows that behind the columns are a huge amount of remains. I will post photo in Community Posts. Strange, weird, cute to some maybe? lol ... Anything more to it?...maybe....
