In the latest push to move the (big D) Democratic Party to the center, neolib (or neocon? we’re not sure) Thomas Friedman has an idea so crazy, it just might work. Nominate a Joe Biden–Liz Cheney ticket in 2024.

And where did he get this spicy new idea? You guessed it: Israel!

So does it matter that the Democratic electorate is clearly further to the left than either of these candidates? Or that Cheney is the daughter of a man who hurt democracy far more than Trump ever could? Nope. Not to Friedman.
