How to: Upgrade back-up Camera in a 2014 Tesla Model S
6 years ago
13
Today we're taking a look at how to replace and upgrade the back up camera on my 2014 Model S.
The whole process took me about 2-3 hours, and I managed to only break 4 retaining pins, so I'd say that's a pretty good start.
To do this project you'll need the newer back up camera, part number: 1061269-00-C
Some double sided tape (the strongest you can find)
Likely new retaining clips: https://evtuning.com/collections/model-s-interior-clips/products/1011813-00-a
Tools-wise: T15 Torx, T25 Torx, nylon pry bar, either heat gun or fishing wire
