Heathfield High School learners were dismissed due to a volatile situation on the school grounds amid a contingent of police, law enforcement and tactical response units.

On Monday, parents were informed of the presence of law enforcement everyday as of Tuesday, 16 August. Several fights broke out between learners, prompting the officials to intervene.
