Phoenix Point, Restarted, Part 2(sorta) Hero Difficulty

Alright, so Phoenix Point was a game that I backed on Kickstarter. I liked its concept but I think it fell short on execution, at least on launch. I played it a couple of times 2-3 but haven't touched it since they added DLC. I've been getting some questions about the game and, TBH, not sure how to answer them since the game changed a lot.
