Does the Deal for the CW to be bought by Nexstar Make ANY Sense?

A legacy media station group Nexstar has just acquired the CW (formerly the WB and UPN) for no money, just an assumption of their debt which totals $100MM. Is this a further sign that CEO of Warner Bros Discovery David Zaslav is crazy? Or is this merger actually a solid idea?
