Sniper Elite 5 Invasion - Same guy invaded twice

Poor sneaky Karl got knifed twice in back to back invasions... Really bad luck too since I knew generally where he was. Must have continued from checkpoint since he was practically same spot. Got busted by same vehicle. If he hadn't attacked it I would have taken the high road since the vehicle was initially alive I thought he continued from start of my last invasion.
