Against the Grain Homestead: Channel Introduction

We are a Christian family that has raised different animals over the years such as cattle, goats, meat rabbits, chickens, and of course dogs and cats. We have gardened since 2004, preserved food at home such as canning, fermenting, etc. We hunt, butcher, process, and package our own game. We do some wild foraging, plant ID, insect ID, treat garden diseases, and save seeds.
We also practice herbalism and have used herbal remedies to keep well since 2010/2011. We cook from scratch with bare bone basic ingredients. We have homeschooled since 2009. There's more too. We thought we'd share what we do as it's fun to see different ways of doing the same thing.
