Inspector Wexford - The Best Man To Die

As yet, apart from a VHS release, these early Inspector Wexford stories aren't available on general release. Hopefully, some day a box set will be released for us all to enjoy. When if it does, I will paste a link in the description.

A young man is murdered on the eve of his best friend's wedding. A young woman is found dead at the scene of a fatal road accident in which a wealthy businessman is also killed. It is a puzzle for Detective Chief Inspector Reg Wexford and his colleague D.I. Burden, who discover a possible connection between the deaths as they unearth a tangled tale of adultery, blackmail and greed.

Personal problems for both detectives blight their lives at a time when they would prefer to concentrate on their investigations. One killer on the loose or two? That is the question they first need to have answered before they can make their arrest.
