Heading North to Baton Rouge for the day (New Orleans 2022)

Though we just got to New Orleans we have another side quest to complete first.

Laura has a sister that she has not seen in person in "24" years. So, we are heading north for the day to see the city and have some dinner with her sister later.

We showed up on an odd day as the city was shut down for some reason. Also, the politicians were in session for Roe v Wade. It was kind of odd as it seemed the city was empty. We might have seen 100 people max walking around the entire city. It felt empty to us however, they were shutting streets down and setting up stages for something. It was odd to say the least. It was like they were full force to put a show on for no one. Maybe people showed up after we left. who knows?

Either way we had a great time just walking around and seeing the city while we were there.

After seeing the city and both Capitol buildings it is time to go meet us with the wife's sister and eat some food that the locals voted on for us to eat at.

I was highly impressed with everything I had to eat at this place. Willies had the best Crawfish I have ever had in my life. My Catfish dinner was also really good and a must try just not my favorite fish dish I have ever had. It is ranked high though.

It was a lot of fun to watch the wife catch up in person with her sister and to see them not miss a beat and both just chat each other up like it was yesterday the last time they saw each other. Glad to finally meet you, Katie. Maybe this next time you girls don't wait 24 years to see each other in person, lol.

After this great dinner and time spent with her sister's family it was time for us to get back on the road and head back to Nola.

In the next video we will be heading over to the garden district and a lot more in New Orleans.
