Bestselling author and leader of the “New Atheist” movement Sam Harris has emerged from the Trump years a pro-censorship advocate, most recently telling the shocked hosts of a Libertarian-themed podcast that he was pleased that elements of the security state conspired in the Hunter Biden laptop matter to prevent Donald Trump from winning re-election, comparing another Trump term to the planet being hit by an asteroid. Who cares about democracy though, right?
