This is the story of a young girl in New York City named Trixie. Her Mommy and Daddy love her very much. She loves them. She also loves her stuffed bunny named Knuffle Bunny. Knuffle Bunny goes everywhere Trixie goes. One day, Daddy and Trixie make a trip to the Laundromat to do the laundry and somehow in all the excitement, Trixie leaves without Knuffle Bunny! She doesn’t know how to communicate it to her daddy because she can’t talk yet. But she sure tries. Daddy doesn’t know she’s trying to say that her bunny is still at the laundromat. It’s not until they get home that Mommy tells Daddy that the bunny is missing. They run back to the laundromat and because Daddy loves Trixie so much, he digs and digs through all the wet laundry till he finds Knuffle Bunny. Trixie is so happy! Maybe you have a stuffed animal that means a lot to you. Losing a stuffed animal can be a hard thing. In this book the little girl gets her stuffed bunny back. Sometimes in real life, we don’t find our missing stuffed animals. It’s hard, but we can get another stuffed animal to love when we’re ready and we can remember in our imagination all the wonderful times we had with our stuffed animal. It will be okay.
