I cannot stress this enough entering a fight for the sake of entering a fight is one thing. Knowing How and Why keep things on your end clear. Having a clear objective helps a lot too. Are you actually trying to outright win, or are you just simply trying to make your opponent look bad, stupid, incompetent, etc

Knowing what you're aiming for makes entering and exiting very easy. With this in mind, it becomes clear when to enter and when to exit a fight. It also keeps the fight on your terms, not theirs no matter what they say and/or do
